American Idol top finalist Michael Johns to perform live in Manila at the Ayala Malls.
Best known for standing among the top 12 finalists on last season’s hit TV show American Idol, musical marvel Michael Johns started out as a keen sportsman who played tennis and the Australian Rules Football. Upon moving to the US from Australia in 1988, he began singing in local bars in Atlanta, Georgia. As a fan of the reality music show American Idol, Johns decided to audition at age 28, the last eligible age to join. Effort and hard work paid off as he got a unanimous vote from all three judges with his rendition of Otis Redding’s I’ve Been Loving You Too Long by Otis Redding, and earned a trip to Hollywood. His high-powered version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody in the Hollywood eliminations assured him a place in the Top 12.

I didn't know his band, The Rising, got [V] airplay. Is he hot or whut. Will definitely watch him at his Ayala gigs!

Even after seeing Meg's and Isabel's posts, I just had to check the Ayala Malls website itself, and I actually squealed when I did see the dates for the gigs (no poster yet like that of Taylor or Elliott, but yeah, the dates are there!).
Shucks, na-excite ako dun ha.
If you still don't know him, he's Michael Johns from American Idol Season 7, the Aussie rocker who was one of the shock elims for that season. He was my bet!
My previous entry talked about the things that are driving me crazy these days.
Now these are the things that keep me sane:
My guy.
My band.
My friends.
And of course - music. Such as this one, which is perfect for this sleepless Sunday morning: Sungha Jung's"Angel's Sunday" (originally by Kotaro Oshio):
Aside from occasionally shooting people and things, and increasing damage to her eardrums on a daily basis, The Mighty Dacs also teaches biology to adolescent geniuses along Agham Road in Quezon City.
