From Yahoo news: "Jurassic Park" author Michael Crichton has died of cancer

- I didn't know he didn't believe in global warming
- I didn't know (or maybe I just forgot) that he created the show "ER" (I don't watch that show anyway)
- I didn't know he went to Harvard med school (*bows in we're-not-worthy fashion*)
- I've only read Jurassic Park, but it was a really good read (and the movie was great too!). I recently bought "The Prey" on sale but haven't gotten around to starting on that one yet.

Rest in peace, Mr. Crichton. Thanks for your cool nerdy novels.

Crichton died Tuesday in Los Angeles at age 66 after privately battling cancer.

"Through his books, Michael Crichton served as an inspiration to students of all ages, challenged scientists in many fields, and illuminated the mysteries of the world in a way we could all understand," his family said in a statement.

You might find "Next" interesting, being an MBB student and all. There are some truths in it, though most of it I found silly. Still, quite entertaining.
